What If? · Reflections from the Founder
The medicine shows you the door. But who’s doing the walking?
Some call psychedelics a shortcut. Others call them a crutch.
But what if they’re missing the point?
A telescope doesn’t create the stars. It simply helps you see what was there all along.
Sacred medicine can work the same way.
It may reveal patterns you’ve been repeating, fears you’ve been carrying, and possibilities you’ve forgotten existed.
But seeing isn’t the same as changing.
The Teacher or the Crutch?
A teacher gives you something to take into your life.
A crutch becomes something you believe you can’t move forward without.
When an experience inspires you to forgive, break an old pattern, open your heart, or finally make that change you’ve been avoiding, that’s the teacher.
But when you’re constantly chasing the next breakthrough, the next revelation, the next extraordinary feeling, while nothing in your everyday life changes?
Maybe it’s time to ask who’s teaching whom.
So How Do You Make the Medicine Your Teacher?
1. Set Your Intention.
Before your journey, ask yourself what you’re seeking to understand, release, or invite into your life.
Your words carry meaning. Speak your intention into Divine Intelligence, whether you call it Source, God, or the Universe.
Show me what I’m ready to understand.
An intention isn’t a demand. It’s an invitation.
2. Enter With an Open Mind.
Release your expectations. Don’t chase a particular vision or feeling. Be curious about what arises, even when it’s unexpected.
3. Integrate the Experience.
Here’s where the real transformation begins.
Integration simply means taking what you learned and bringing it into your everyday life.
The next day, while the experience is still fresh, spend time grounding yourself in nature or sitting quietly somewhere peaceful.
Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Be still.
Ask yourself, your angels, or Divine Intelligence:
What was this experience trying to teach me?
Then listen.
Pick up your journal and let the words flow without overthinking. Write about your emotions, visions, memories, and realizations. You don’t need to understand everything immediately.
4. Live the Lesson.
Now take what you’ve discovered and give it a place in your life.
Write an affirmation. Put a reminder on your mirror. Set a daily intention on your phone. Choose one small action that reflects what you learned.
If your lesson was love, practice love.
If it was forgiveness, begin forgiving.
If it was courage, take the first step.
Don’t just remember the revelation. Become the person it inspired you to be.
The Medicine Shows You the Door.
It may even hand you the key.
But you’re the one who has to walk through it.
The experience may last hours. The teaching can stay with you for a lifetime.
And that’s the difference between chasing an experience and allowing it to change your life.
