What If? · Reflections from the Founder
What if mycelium, neurons, and the cosmic web are three reflections of the same Divine Intelligence?
🍄 THE NETWORK BENEATH
That mushroom growing above the ground? It’s only the visible part of something extraordinary.
Beneath it lies mycelium, a vast underground network of microscopic, root-like fungal threads.
And here’s where it gets fascinating.
Scientists estimate that Earth’s topsoil contains 110 quadrillion kilometers of fungal threads from just one major group of fungi. And roughly 80–90% of land plant species form underground partnerships with fungi.
But these networks do more than exchange nutrients.
They generate electrical signals.
They respond. They adapt. Experiments have even shown that shared fungal networks can carry warning signals between plants.
Think about that.
An underground network transmitting signals and connecting living organisms. All without a brain.
Nature’s original underground internet.
🧠 THE NETWORK WITHIN
Now look inside your brain.
Billions of neurons communicating through intricate electrical and chemical pathways.
And when psilocybin enters the picture, something remarkable happens.
Research shows that psilocybin changes how brain networks communicate. Scientists are also exploring its relationship with neuroplasticity, the brain’s extraordinary ability to reorganize and form new connections.
Look at mycelium. Now look at neurons.
The resemblance is striking.
One network beneath the earth. Another within the mind.
Coincidence?
✨ THE NETWORK BEYOND
Now look up.
Across the universe, galaxies form an immense structure known as the Cosmic Web, connected by vast filaments of matter.
Scientists have identified intriguing structural similarities between the Cosmic Web and neural networks in our brains.
Three extraordinary networks.
Beneath us. Within us. Above us.
Different scales. Similar patterns of connection.
AS ABOVE, SO BELOW.
👁️ NOW ENTER THE MYSTERY OF THE MUSHROOM.
During sacred psilocybin journeys, people sometimes describe extraordinary visions.
Sacred geometry. Glowing grids. Infinite webs of light. Patterns that seem to move, breathe, and connect.
And sometimes, something even more profound.
The overwhelming realization that we are all one.
Connected to nature. To each other. To the universe. To something greater than ourselves.
At Divine Science Society, we call that spiritual connection Divine Intelligence, the infinite creative field of consciousness.
So here’s the question.
What if the mushroom isn’t creating the connection?
What if it’s activating something within us that allows us to tune into a network that’s always been there?
What if those visions are glimpses of a deeper interconnected reality?
And what if, when we eat a mushroom, we are eating the fruit of connection itself — the fruit of an intelligence woven through life?
WHAT IF WE’RE TAKING A BITE OF THE NETWORK ITSELF?
🌐 WHY WE CHOSE MYCELIUM AS OUR LOGO
We didn’t choose mycelium simply because of mushrooms.
We chose it because it represents one of our deepest spiritual beliefs:
WE ARE ALL CONNECTED. WE ARE ALL ONE.
Beneath the earth, living networks connect.
Within our minds, neural pathways connect.
Across the cosmos, immense structures connect.
And spiritually, we believe we are all threads within one greater field of Divine Intelligence.
The mushroom is the fruiting body of that hidden network.
So when we work with sacred mushrooms, we can’t help but wonder:
Are we consuming the fruit of connection?
The fruit of intelligence?
A living expression of the network itself?
That is why mycelium is our symbol.
It reminds us that connection is not just a nice idea. It is woven into the fabric of life.
One connection inspires another. One expanded mind opens another. And together, individual threads become something much bigger.
A community. A consciousness. A movement.
WE ARE NOT SEPARATE FROM THE NETWORK.
WE ARE THE NETWORK.
WE ARE THE MYCELIUM.
The Movement Is Underground.
